Verona

Verona was immortalized by Shakespeare in his early tragedy "Romeo & Juliet", in which city the play is set. But Verona's timeless appeal is not only a part of fiction. Among other things, Verona is home to perhaps the best preserved relic of the Roman Empire in all of Europe. The arena is used to host operas during the summer and is always open for tours. Verona also has quite a modern side: shoppers will have a hard time exhausting Verona's resources.
