Cortina d'Ampezzo is a ski resort in the Dolomite Mountains. It was the first Italian mountain to host the Winter Olympics. Rentals are available for those who don't own their equipment. This is a great place to ski and it's close enough to Venice that you can easily justify a weekend trip.
