Forum Romanum

The Roman Forum was the political and cultural heart of Rome in its ancient times. This was the area of the palaces of kings, and the meetings of the senate. Today many of the remains of these structures as well as the remains of several basilicas, and temples are still evident. A stroll through the forum today brings back to life the days of ancient Rome as you view the many layers of ancient construction, and arches built to commemorate victories.
