Boboli Gardens

visit websitePhone:

Boboli Gardens located behind Pitti Palace are one of Italy’s most spectacular renaissance gardens. These gardens became the model for European royal gardens including those at the Palace of Versailles. Construction of these gardens began around 1550, shortly after the property was purchased by the Medici family. The gardens offer panoramic views of Florence, and feature an amphitheatre, grottos, wide walkways, fountains, and a great number of sixteenth and seventeenth century statues.
