Harbor markers and light houses shine their lights of warning to ships passing in the night. Sardinia’s coast line, with its jutting peninsulas and natural harbors, is peppered with light houses and markers such as the one in Costa Smeralda, shown here. While guiding the way for passing ships they are somewhat an attraction in and of themselves. Their placement along the rocky shores makes for great photos or paintings.
